No Lopez (slightly injured) but something definitely worth noticing: No Reyes! Does this mean Resino has more trust in Keko?

Koke isn’t on the list because of the poor Atletico board. Poor guy. Ruben Perez (another one from the cantera) will be his replacement.

Maybe Forlan will play, maybe not. Anyway, this match can still be used to try out a 4-5-1, APOEL can’t be that good (I guess..)

Champions League Draw: Atlético vs Chelsea, Oporto and Apoel Nicosia

Not the best… not the worst.

Champions League qualifying play-off: Atlético 2(3)-0(2) Panathinaikos – We’re in!

One step away from the Champions groups stage.

After a surprisingly good victory against Panathinaikos in Greece we’ll need to be more focused to not let everything go away through the drain, when we’re so close. 

Champions League-draw: vs. Panathinaikos

Today was the draw of the champions league qualifiers. We drew Panathinaikos.

The first leg will be played 18/19 of August and the second leg will be played 25/26 August.

What to think of the draw? I don’t know..it’s good that we avoided teams as Arsenal, but playing against Panathinaikos will be hell, believe me. It will be quite a double feeling for me, as I’ve grown up with Panathinaikos (Greek father)..

As Fernandez said, don’t underestimate the Greeks, or overestimate Atleti. Both teams have a horrible defence and a lovely attack, a great fanbase and I personally think both teams are equally matched.

Shame we didn’t match up against Sporting, they would’ve been easy..
